Affiliate Disclosure

Transparency matters to us.

From time to time, The Showbiz Journal may include affiliate links in articles, buying guides, product coverage, recommendations or other content.

If you click an eligible link and make a purchase or complete another qualifying action, The Showbiz Journal may receive a commission or other compensation from the retailer, platform or affiliate network.

In most cases, this does not increase the price you pay.

Affiliate Relationships and Editorial Decisions

Affiliate relationships do not determine our news coverage, editorial conclusions or opinions.

A product, service or company does not receive favorable editorial treatment simply because an affiliate relationship exists.

When content contains affiliate relationships requiring disclosure, we aim to provide a clear notice within or near the relevant content so readers can understand the relationship before acting on a recommendation.

Products Provided for Review

Companies, publicists or brands may occasionally provide products, services, event access, travel accommodations or other consideration for editorial evaluation.

When such a relationship is material to understanding the coverage, we aim to disclose it appropriately.

Receiving a product, service or access opportunity does not guarantee positive coverage—or coverage at all.

Sponsored Content Is Different

Affiliate content should not be confused with paid or sponsored content.

When a company has paid for content or materially participated in its creation, we aim to clearly identify that content using labels such as Sponsored, Paid Content, Partner Content or another appropriate disclosure.

Questions

Questions concerning commercial relationships or affiliate disclosures may be submitted through our Contact page.

Recommended article-level disclosure whenever an article actually contains affiliate links:

Disclosure: The Showbiz Journal may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through links in this article.

That article-level line is important. A standalone Affiliate Disclosure page does not replace disclosure close to the affiliate recommendation under FTC guidance.
