‘Widow’s Bay’ Wins Eight Emmys as Apple TV Comedy Leads Creative Arts Night Two

The series finished ahead of HBO’s DTF St. Louis, while Betty Gilpin added an acting victory for her guest performance in the Apple comedy.
The Television Academy’s official Night Two recap confirms that Widow’s Bay collected eight awards during the September 6 ceremony. DTF St. Louis followed with six, Spider-Noir earned five, and both The Pitt and Pluribus collected four.
Widow’s Bay Emmy wins reach eight
The Night Two results turned Widow’s Bay into one of the most decorated programs of the Creative Arts weekend. Apple entered the awards with 19 nominations for the first-season comedy, which stars Matthew Rhys and blends small-town comedy with supernatural horror.
Apple’s official Widow’s Bay press page identifies Rhys as the central figure in a story about a struggling New England island community whose residents have long insisted their home is cursed. The series was created by Katie Dippold, with Hiro Murai among its executive producers.
Gilpin’s victory for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series added a performance award to the show’s strong showing across television craft categories. Her win came during a ceremony that expanded the number of acting categories presented during the Creative Arts portion of the Emmys.
Variety’s Night Two winners coverage independently reported the eight-award total for Widow’s Bay and the six wins for DTF St. Louis, confirming the two programs as the evening’s leading titles.
Spider-Noir wins five after Prime Video cancellation
One of the night’s most unusual results belonged to Spider-Noir. The Nicolas Cage-led Prime Video series won five Emmys just days after reports confirmed that the show would not return for a second season.
The timing gave the awards a bittersweet dimension for a production that had entered the Creative Arts ceremonies with 11 nominations. Its five victories came after the show’s future had already been decided, leaving its first season as both its only season and an Emmy-winning one.

The Pitt and Pluribus each collect four awards
HBO’s The Pitt and Apple TV’s Pluribus each won four Emmys on Sunday. For Pluribus, the recognition extended an awards-season run that has already included recognition for the production’s location work.

The Creative Arts ceremony also produced several notable acting wins. David Harbour received his first Emmy for his supporting performance in DTF St. Louis, while Shailene Woodley was recognized for a guest appearance in Paradise. Ernest Harden Jr. won for his guest role in The Pitt.
Night Two completes the Creative Arts weekend
Sunday’s ceremony followed a first night that was led by Bad Bunny’s Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, which won seven awards. The main 2026 Emmy ceremony is still ahead
The Creative Arts results do not conclude the 78th Emmy Awards. Major drama, comedy and limited-series categories will be decided during the primetime ceremony on September 14, meaning several of the programs already recognized this weekend remain in contention for additional awards.
That includes Widow’s Bay, which entered this year’s Emmys with nominations extending beyond the technical categories presented during the Creative Arts ceremonies.
For now, however, the Widow’s Bay Emmy wins give Apple TV the leading program from Night Two and the largest single-program haul across the Creative Arts weekend, with eight awards secured before the main Emmy ceremony begins.
