Prime Video has released The Terminal List Season 2 teaser, bringing Chris Pratt’s James Reece back into action as the series prepares to expand its revenge-thriller premise into a much larger international espionage story. The first official teaser and new key art arrived Thursday, August 20, ahead of the season’s October 21, 2026 premiere.

All eight episodes will arrive on Prime Video at once, according to Amazon MGM Studios’ announcement. The new chapter adapts True Believer, the second novel in author Jack Carr’s James Reece series, and moves Pratt’s character beyond the personal mission that defined the show’s first season.

Chris Pratt leads an expanded Season 2 cast

Pratt returns as Navy SEAL commander James Reece and continues as an executive producer on the series. The Season 2 ensemble also includes Constance Wu, Tom Hopper, Dar Salim, Luke Hemsworth, Gabriel Luna, Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, Jeremy Bobb and Shiraz Tzarfati.

David DiGilio remains showrunner and executive producer. Pratt, Antoine Fuqua and Carr are also among the executive producers behind the new season.

The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, MRC and Civic Center Media. Prime Video has been building The Terminal List beyond a single-series adaptation, with the wider franchise also including the prequel The Terminal List: Dark Wolf.

That expanding television universe gives Season 2 a different position than the original run had when it debuted in 2022. Reece is no longer being introduced as a standalone protagonist. He now anchors a larger screen franchise built around Carr’s characters and novels.

Season 2 draws from Jack Carr’s True Believer

The source material provides another indication of how the television story is changing. True Believer follows Reece after the events that fueled his initial revenge mission and places him in a much wider geopolitical conflict.

Prime Video is carrying that framework into the television adaptation rather than simply recreating the structure of Season 1. Reece’s effort to find purpose after finishing his list becomes the entry point into an international conspiracy and a renewed relationship with the intelligence world.

The adaptation also allows the series to explore parts of Reece’s history while introducing new characters around him. The combination of returning figures and an expanded cast gives the second season room to connect the franchise’s existing relationships with its larger espionage storyline.

The Hollywood Reporter likewise reported that the new story finds the fugitive Reece offered a renewed purpose as he becomes involved in a U.S. government effort against a former Iraqi commando, reinforcing the shift toward a broader intelligence thriller.
