Apple is preparing a high-end MacBook Pro with a touchscreen. It could arrive in late 2026 or early 2027. Apple has long avoided touch on Macs. The company pushed the iPad for touch use instead. But many Windows laptops have offered touch for years, and users are now used to it. So Apple seems ready to meet that demand while keeping the great keyboard and trackpad.

Apple is developing two models internally called K114 and K116. They are expected to run on the M6 chip family. They should also be thinner and lighter than today’s Pro laptops.
